Default Help, What is going on?

I am really stuck?

I have a new 270 fusion, I have gone over the whole model to check everything over, I checked and levelled the swash, stripped the tail down as it was binding slightly, and I have that running smoothly.

I have set my DX6 Gen 2 as per the manual.

On spooling up the heli spins counterclockwise at speed!

What is going on, what have I done/not done?

Thanks in advance
Paul

When you say you stripped the tail down do you mean you removed the entire tail case? If so you may have installed the belted flipped the wrong way so the tail blades are turning in the wrong direction.

If you are flying it with the stock AR636 FBL my guess would be that it has an issue if everything mechanical is correct. Both of mine have Spirit FBL's. If you post what FBL you are using it would help people to offer advice.

Also make sure your tail belt isn't twisted.

I have the stock AR636.
The belt is correct, the main blades spin clocwise, the tail counter, correct yes?

I have heard of people flipping the grips on things. Make sure those are on correctly.

I am not quite sure what you mean, although the blade grips and blades are installed correctly

Make sure the tail servo direction is set properly in the radio. Since this is a new BNF (I'm guessing) everything should be set properly in the FBL. If that doesn't help it's time to call HH and set up a RMA return and let them check it out.

Perhaps someone who flies one with the stock electronics can help you more.

Paul, you might have the same issue I had last time. Take a look at this post.
https://www.helifreak.com/#/topics/863253
In short, you might have your belt turned to a wring way. Do a quick check before you do anything further. When you spin the main blade clockwise, the tail blades should turn counter-clockwise.
Hope this helps.

Ah, I did not see your last post.
Check two more things. First, take a look at the picture I attached. Make sure the blades are facing the right direction. Second, look at the tail blade grips. The dot should be facing outside.

Glad it was something simple. That's what I meant by flipping the grips around. It happens. Thanks for putting the picture up for him Jimmy

It's great you got it figured out.
One other thing you may want to do before flying is to enter forward programming and lower the cyclic gain from 11 to 5. It will reduce the chance of any tipping/shakes.
Also be sure to use the manual recommended throttle and pitch curves for the normal mode setting, and use normal for takeoffs.

I can’t tell you how many times I made this same mistake. So glad I can contribute something here.

Thanks the Steve, i will do that as it was a little unstable, and there was some slight wag.

Normal mode is all as per manual 👍

I wouldn't worry about a little wag in normal mode. In stunt 1 and 2 you'll likely need to turn the default gyro gains up to get rid of most of the wag. Especially if the heli is new and things are still breaking in.

Is that the pitch in forward programming Steve?

DO NOT feel bad. I've had mine for over a year ….. I just did the same thing ! I simply didn't pay attention when I took it apart. I was stumped for a good 3 hours
