Wow, they are that sensitive? I don't have one. Thought about it, but that could be an issue for me as I'm limited in space.

I have no idea if he inadvertently banged the bed or whatever. Not a huge deal. Just takes a few minutes to get it all leveled up again.

The more I print, the more I learn and the better the output is - right up until I change filaments.

OK, when does the 3D printing 'hobbyist' stop printing gizmos FOR the printer???

80% of the stuff I've printed has been for the printer itself.. lol

Right after posting that, I drew up and printed a ball-bearing roller filament guide...

Just knocked off for the day and will probably draw up an upper filament guide and get it printed... lol

I just started with a new company, they do product development.... Their lab is small but complete. I might get to play with a Makerbot Replicator 😊

Skiddz aren't you running a bltouch and should it not take care of the leveling? Or are you just getting it spot on for piece of mind?

Yeah, BL Touch. It's working great. I haven't had to level in a couple weeks.

The Z braces were for better stabilizing the gantry 'cuz I mounted the spool holder up there and I could see it wiggling around sometimes.

Roller filament guide was to keep the filament off the Z screw and stop it from wearing on the brass bushing on the input side of the extruder

My first and only 3D printer experience is with the Prusa i3 MK3S kit. So far, my experience with it is similar to Mac computers and Mikado products.

So when you have problems with the printer people tell you that its your fault and that the product is flawless?

Default CR-10 Mini is a good choice

I agree with Skiddz.

The CR-10 Mini delivers really good prints out of the box.
I print mostly PETG, some PLA and some PCABS (with enclosure, can be a card box for starters).
If the leveling is done carefully with the help of a piece of paper, Esteps are calibrated and the correct printing temperature is figured out using a temp tower it will deliver superb prints.
