Default Seriously?

I figured that since the CUI-2 is not available anymore, and from reading the description of the CUI-3,.. it sounded like it is backwards compatible and will work just the same as CUI-2 to update the CGY 750? Guess I was mistaken, I got the CUI-3 all plugged in,. CGY "ready for Update" but when I click the Update.exe, it tells me It cannot run because there is no CUI-2 connected to PC. Am I missing something, or is this just a completely dumb setup?

Yup!!! I WAS missing something! IThe CIU-3 doesn't seem to have drivers to download(far as I can find),.. as it seems it installs them automatically thru Win10(far as I can tell). I updated the driver manually to the CIU-2 driver, thru device manager. After that, the update worked flawlessly!

When using Windows 10 the CIU-3 is automatically recognized and does not require separate driver installation.

Yes, that is what I thought, thanks for confirming! However, when trying to update cgy-750 I was not able to run the update program, as it gave me error message saying no ciu-2 is plugged into pc

Update: The CUI-3 did install its own drivers as it should, but would not allow to run the CGY750 2.0 update program. I downloaded the CUI-2 drivers,.. manually updated the CUI-3 drivers to the CUI-2 driver. After that,.. I ran the update program, and everything updated as it should have! All is good to go, and I removed the CUI-2 Drivers, allowing the CUI-3 to install the correct drivers again.
