![]() This is going to be my go to heli. I have owned at least 50 helis in my 11 years of flying. This is a top notch heli. Minimal tuning and is just an excellent flying heli. I highly recommend this little guy.

![]() I had a very brief relationship with it as I crashed it with not too many flights. Mine is actually a 420, and I purchased all the new Buddy parts. I will give it another shot next season. My 380 is still flying awesome, though, but it's a "classic" 380.

![]() Still happy with the buddy? It does look awesome! How is it compared to bigger birds? Does it feel big enough or are you itching for a 700? 😛
did you convert your old into a buddy? I bought a used 420 clone that supposedly are upgraded with sab parts but I’m considering getting a proper SAB and just use the one I got for emergency spares. Was wondering if the buddy shared many parts ^^ |

![]() The upgraded parts are very few but the cost is not that low. Yes I upgraded a stock Goblin 420. Frames, battery rails and trays, ESC mount, tail fin, canopy, and landing gear. The worst part was the canopy. Probably it is more cost effective to buy the kit, though. I didn’t do that just because I thought the old canopy would work but it didn’t. You end up with a bunch of spare parts and the upgrade is about 2/3 of a kit in cost.

![]() I kept the Buddy as 420. To downgrade you have to change the front pulley, belt, boom, push rod, blades, and tail pulley.

![]() Cool. I bought a complete model since I’ll prolly crash my alzrc clone soon and then I can move the electronics over to the Buddy. Time will tell if I convert the buddy to 420 tho. I still haven’t flown my 420 so I don’t have anything to compare it to.
