I have just verified that i have the servos plugged into the brain as they are labeled in the middle swash diagram on page 4. Everything goes in the right directions until I match the sticks to screen on page 5.

SRV-3 SRV-1 ...... SRV-2 Looking in the Advanced menu under COMMON=>SERVOS, it shows that servos 2, 3, and 4 are reversed. Since all of the precise steps you've taken to this point, including those you took during the first attempt, are not well understood (at least by me), it still seems likely that you could have things reversed both in the TX and in the software in some odd fashion. I know it's been a frustrating effort so far, but I'd recommend resetting the IKON to factory defaults and starting from the beginning again. You could also potentially uncheck the reverse boxes for those servos (or at least for 2 and 3 if the tail seems to be behaving as expected) in the advanced menu and see where that leaves you (starting back at screen 5 and the progressing), but I think that has a higher risk of things just becoming even more confusing.

Yes that is the diagram i am referring to on the swashplate. I just did a reset on the FBL. I will start over on it. This is all a good learning experience. I will see what happens. I'll post here the results.

So far so good. All controls are working right and the self leveling is working properly. I stopped at the page setting up the rescue /auto level, enough for one day . I appreciate your help and I am sure they will be more questions. My goal for this heli is scale type flying as i have no interest in 3d. When i get where i can fly it around good I want to put a scale kit on it.

Excellent, well done! I'm certainly not the smartest guy here on the Brain/Ikon so take a look throughout the this forum and you'll probably find a lot of additional information.

Jeti receiver reboots when switching setup/flight modes
I have gotten the governor set and the suggested flat throttle curves programmed in. When I switch off throttle cut/ autorotation the heli begins to spool up even with the throttle stick all the way down. Is this normal?
When I switch between flight mode /setups my receiver reboots but not every time. I swapped to a fresh battery and makes no difference. The governor is hitting the programmed rpm's for each flight mode. Sometimes when switching from flight mode 3 to 2 the rpms jump and it acts like the governor has quit. Any ideas? Thanks |

If you look under the help menu in the IKON software (or click on "Manuals", upper right) there is a section on Jeti integration that may or may not be helpful to these specific issues but may be helpful overall. I do not have any Jeti experience at all.

Another interesting thing is if I select Castle Creations for the telemetry input in the brain nothing works. If I select no telemetry I have power. I will look at the mauals. |

Here is the data from the speed controller. I don't see a major drop in the voltage. I had already read the manual on the software. It is just for setting up the transmitter.

I agree that the esc data doesn't show a BEC voltage drop with the caveat that it appears you may be using a slow logging speed (once per second?) so it's theoretically possible that it happens but isn't being captured. Having said that, I don't know how long an interruption has to be to cause a problem with a Jeti Rx.
If you haven't already, look in the IKON software under Manuals, and look at the Telemety document. In there you will find instructions for setting up the Castle and the Ikon for Castle telemetry. Note that in addition to making the proper software settings you need to install a 10K pullup resistor to ensure that the Castle telemetry signal is clean. There is also a section on Jeti telemetry integration. It's not obvious to me that the above would cause your Rx to drop out momentarily but I also have no Jeti expertise. Depending on what you find after looking at the document you may want to consider starting a new thread to attract more attention from someone who may have more particular expertise.

iKON Setup and Tuning Video Series
In case you haven't noticed, there are two things about this thread:
A) It a VIDEO series of tuning tips (iKON Setup and Tuning Video Series) B) It's a "sticky" which means it sits at the top of this forum, literally, forever. Why are you 2 polluting this "sticky" with your troubleshooting? If you are having problems and need help, start a new thread in the normal section. If you have a unique / interesting tuning tip, take a video, post it to Youtube and add it here. Otherwise...

Brain2 help
Still struggling but inching forward. At the moment I'm on pg.8 "Swashplate Setup" I got the servo reverse set with correct swash movement and moved on to set servo arms at 90, then on to PITCH set and at this point all servos stopped responding, but will randomly make small movements without any inputs.
I'm stuck here, any help? Thanks! |

Just received an Ikon2 and the BT Module, trying to get this setup on my trex500.. Ive watched alot of videos, gone through all the settings, I cant get any servos to move, the throttle will go, (how do you calibrate the esc to the throttle stick as well?).. Anyway, Im a little stumped, I can see the signals on the bluetooth app move with the sticks, but no servos move.
Thanks |
