![]() Is it possible to install a shared model setup file? I am receiving a Heli second hand that was flown with a NEO but the seller is keeping it. He was able to download the setup file from the VBCT cloud and email it to me, but I’m still trying to find out if and how I can install the file on my NEO. I’m wondering if I need to do it through the PC setup software like we were able to with the older vbars. It’s not a big deal as I can just go through the setup wizard but I thought I’d at least try this first. Thanks in advance!

![]() it takes 10-15 min to setup a heli from scratch with vcontrol. maybe less.
maybe not as easy as transferring a file, but i would go through the setup myself.

![]() If you are using a VBC/VBCt then it is merely a matter of copying the setup file to your VBC/VBCt via USB and then copy the setup to a Neo. You have to make sure that if it is a new Neo that you first do a basic setup, so as was posted above it is much easier to do a completely new setup via the VBC/VBCt to your preferences.

![]() Thank you and that makes sense about having to do an initial setup first as I learned that recently when transferring a file to a new vbar, each time I turn it on, the new model setup starts even though it’s already programmed to the model. I’ve just been disregarding it, but I will reset it, do a quick basic setup, then reinstall the current setup that I’ve been using. I also understand the ease of doing a new setup and I may go that route eventually but with this particular Heli, I am interested to see it’s current setup settings. Hence why I want to learn how to do the file transfer.
