Question Trex 150x-Strengthen Elevator Servo Mount??

I have replaced the case ends on my elevator servo because it fatigues and then cracks, breaks. The last two times the retention tab gives way almost immediately snapping even when using throttle hold promptly.

Forces either twist or eject the servo upon crash.

Fishing line or zip tie to secure?? Double sided tape??

Please share what you do to better secure the elevator servo.

Thanks!

Thumbs up

I found an older thread regarding the same issue:

"Eventually that retention tab is going to fail from repeated use.
So I drilled out the servo tab extension and the tail boom mount and installed a small 1mm by 4mm screw with washer. It holds it very securely and is much better than the stock method. I like simple accurate repeatable systems. I will never have to wrestle that thing off again. If you drill as far forward as possible on the mount it doesn't interfere with the boom, maybe lose 1mm."

Going to give it a try and get back!
