Default Nothing extra needed for new NX series

I just learned today all you need for the new spektrum NX series is a USB cable to sim. All you have to do is set up a new model, then go to USB setting and select game controller. I just downloaded Accurc and set up the TX and it works great. It also so works with real flight 9

DX series do not have usb ports, you need a dongle.

Nice to see spektrum taking a tip from the likes of mikado, opentx (frsky etc) and jeti and doing a direct usb connection.

Saves all that messing around with dongles!

and, one would assume, you can still do the dongle (WS2000) if you want to sim wireless.

Not a USB port, but there are cables that work by plugging into the buddy port.

yes i dont think the protocol has changed so they are backwards compatible with dsmx which is what the dongle supports

Yes you can however ppm is analogue so will have jitter and the dongle itself introduces some latency as the tx has to convert to ppm, dongle then converts back to digital and send it to the PC.

Direct usb is far superior.

I still may end up getting the spektrum wireless simulator dongle. I notice the radio is always charging when plugged in to the PC. Not sure how good that is for the battery.
