Yes, but for the EX series receivers you need the special SBus firmware from Esprit.

The new REX series have SBus support with the latest official firmware.
Ok, so all I need is a REX receiver, and no special update, and just set the receiver output to SBus?

Correct, as long as the firmware is up to date the SBus option is available.

So I’m having trouble getting this going using the R4L. I down loaded the sbus 3.24 firmware and loaded onto receiver, in device explorer I see no option for sbus and it’s currently on UDI.

Any help please.

That's correct. Because it's a modified firmware you dont actually see Sbus as an option, it's still labelled 'UDI'. Just select UDI and Sbus will be enabled.

Ok, what port should i use on rx? Thus far i cant get it working.

Ok i got it, for R4L it needs to be plugged into port 3.

Gee new transmitters are a learning curve.

Default setup problem

Guys, I'm lost

1) R4i - Updated to 3.25

2) Receiver Bound

3) Device manager R4i set to UDI ( says Y4 ) so.. sbus connected to pins 4

4) R4i connected and live, able to access in device manager.

5) Mapped in transmitter.

6) throttle set 100%

OMP controller lights up and beeps but no JOY

Do I need to tell OMP controller its using sbus?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks much!

Note: I did accidentally change the pin out puts in receiver and don't know if this is a problem or how they were originally set

^^^ exactly. The Sbus firmware is a special modified version of 3.24.

Download link: https://file.espritmodel.com/firmwar...x_324_SBUS.zip

Note that it still shows 'UDI' in device manager, just select UDI the output will be Sbus.

Hi Christoph,

The deadband isn't a problem with the Jeti, that is an issue that all OMP M2 models suffer from, and it's built into the flight control unit. There is no fix other than either using negative expo, or using a custom curve on pitch and roll to remove it. Jonas W goes into detail here:
