Default New OMPHobby M2 Models for 2020

OMPHobby has just announced two new M2 models to replace the existing one: M2 Explore and M2 2020

The main difference between these and the older model is that the FBL system can now be tuned by the user.

The M2 explore now has plastic blade grips and swashplate for a lower price of $269.99. Whereas the M2 2020 retains the all metal construction.

I have one arriving tomorrow that was supposed to be here today. Super Excited from the videos. I have my transmitter setup as well as a Spektrum Satellite bound and a battery charged. Lol

I crash from time to time with my 230S v2 and the main gear strips like butter. I replaced already a couple of them. If you have a crash with a direct drive model like OMP M2, what breaks here, since there are no main gear teeth to strip. Do you destroy the motor more quickly in a similar crash or is something else taking the damage?

I just crashed yesterday. Hit TH, came in upright, no damage.

I have gone in knife edge with tic tocs, no TH and there was a bit of damage.

Servo horns are common as well and bent main and feathering. I've crashed my V1 a bunch and main motor is still fine.

Shafts can bend, though no more than any other heli. I sell M2 helis and I haven't sold or replaced a single main motor due to failure, never even heard of a failure.
