Default Does the HW Platinum v4 60A fit?

Hello guys the ESC on my 450x is starting to act up so I am looking for a replacement. It is either the Hobbywing V4 60a or the CC 50A Lite. I am leaning towards the HW ESC but I am not sure if it will fit inside the stock frames of the 450x. If not I am going to go with the Castle ESC which certainly fits. I don't like the esc on the sides of the frame as it looks kind of ugly for my taste.

Setup will be 3S with the Scorpion 2221-6 and 10T pinion which is what I am currently running on it.

Does anyone have a clue if the HW ESC will fit inside the 450x frame?

Well.. i had a free hw50a v3 and checked it. It looks like it is about 1 to 2 mm too wide to fit laying down in the stock 450x frame. I believe 60a is same size. You may be able to get it to sit in there at an angle but i cant try that unless i take my 450x esc out.

Thanks for letting me know. I decided to go for it. Hopefully we will still have parts available to enjoy my purchase.

So just curious... Did you buy the HW or the CC? The only advantage of buying the CC Phoenix is that it has telemetry. Unfortunately with the HW 60A ESC, telemetry is very limited, for example, no MAh Used.

The 450X has always been a great heli! Good luck with your choices.

No purchase as of yet. I have been very busy lately but have decided on the HW ESC. My YEP 45A I had was giving issues with cogging and cut offs lately but for now I have installed the stock 35A esc with a CC Bec as a temporary solution to keep me flying. Stock ESC and Scorpion 2221-6 with 10T pinion is not a good combination but I keep my temps in check so I should be good for now.

I have yet to find a lighter 325 heli than the 450x with stock frame. You can sure notice frame flex and some "mushiness" during 3D but flies very light and is very nibble. Nobody believes me when I tell them it's just a 3S setup.
