Default Kolibri 60 LV Vs 60 LV-i What's the difference?

Hey Guys,

Can anybody please advise as to what the difference is between the Kolibri 60 LV and the LV-i? Is it more telemery or something? I read that the 140 HV-i can have both a bluetooth and Telemetrty out at the same time on the HV-i version, but that would not apply to the 60A ESC anyway, only one port.

Any help with this would be great!!

Thanks!!

My guess is that there is no difference between LV and LV-I. I think it was just a marketing decision seeing that YGE went with LV-T.

If you look at multiple web stores you will see photos of the LV with LV-I and LV but the same part number. I don't think that a Kolibri LV has ever existed.

Just my 2c.

Cheers.

There is no difference, they are the same identical ESC. All they did was add the "-I" to the name reflect the integrated telemetry.

The KOLIBRI 140 is available in both LV and HV versions. The LV was on the market several months before the HV version was released.

It is the addition of integrated telemetry to the label. Other than that no difference at all.

This was to differentiate it from the other non telemetry based ESC's

i.e. Kosmik 200 HV vs Kosmik 210 HV-i

Thanks Guys

Wh1teAfr1can, Are you saying that the 60 LV does not have integrated TelMe, but the 60 LV-i does?

Thanks!

Thanks vvv850, The 60 LV does seem to exist. Here is a link to it. I've been offered this as a slightly discounted rate. I'm wondering if no integrated TelMe is the catch.

I think it's the same though. The reason I'm saying this is that i cannot find any trace of non "I" on kontronik site, even the download section. Moreover, each non "I" on sale is described as having telemetry.

I think down the line they added an "I" to avoid confusion.

LE: Look at the part number. It's the same as the LV-I.

I was able to find the original Kontronik manual for the 60 LV on a German webstore, and yup! It's exactly the same, and the same part number (SKU) I think you are right, Kontronik have just added the -i because YGE had added a -T to their line of telemetry capable ESC's. Just a marketing thing

Thanks!!

Cool, I'm gonna use it with a XLPower 3215-920Kv on a Oxy4 Max.

No as mentioned above its just an addition to the naming to differentiate it from devices that don't have the Telme unit built in.

i.e. Kosmik 200 HV vs Kosmik 210 HV-i

Edited original post to be more clear.

What I really hate about the Kolibri line is the cheap throttle cable. It's extremely stiff and because of this I'm not sure it will last soldered to the ESC.

I wasn't aware that the throttle lead was cheap and stiff, though I had noticed that it's soldered directly. Yeah, that sucks a bit. Would be beter if it had a removable male to male Master BEC lead like many other Kontronik ESC's.

I've not actually ordered the Kolibri 60 LV ESC yet, was looking at maybe going with the YGE 65LVT instead as it's 22g lighter.49g compared to 71g. I think the Kolibri might make the Oxy 4 MAX CG a bit nose heavy. Most people seem to be using the HW 60A v4 on the MAX and have good CG with that, and it's smiliar in weight to the YGE. I have Optipower 1800's for the MAX too, and they are usually one of the heaviest packs compared to other brands. No dual BEC leads on the YGE 65LVT though, and I'd need the YGE USB adaper too. I have a ProgDISC already for Kontronik ESC's.

I'm a bit picky!! I like to get good CG on a heli, FBL and servos do less work that way.
