Default Microbeast Plus V5 wont reset to defaults

Hi All,

Having a few issues with getting my helis tail diailed in using a beastx. I bought the heli second hand so I would like to reset the unit to default settings as a bit of a sanity check to start from scratch.

Ive gone through the steps on the beastx wiki where you enter set up mode (once booted hold until A goes solid) then hold until for 10/15 seconds until each indicator LED cycles.

I can get into set up mode fine but when I hold down to reset I cant get to the confirmation LED cycle to apear proving that the reset happened. The wiki recomends holding for 15 seconds but the quick reference card I got with the unit recomends 10 seconds. I have tried both with no joy.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if there is a way to fix it? Am I doing something wrong and not realising? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I use the usb cable spma3030. You connect to your pc. That way you can perform updates as well as a factory reset. All of the setup menus are there, too.
Sometimes the factory reset wonít work because itís stuck in setting the receiver protocol. My first Beastx through me for a loop as the connector for the receiver was bad on the JR connector. Even though it booted fine at first, one jiggle of the cable makes the Beastx nuts.
Feel free to pm me. I run Beastx on all of my helis.

Just ordered a USB cable for it. Looks much easier to do set up that way!

After you mentioned the reciever I decided to try a different reciever. Low and behold everything works perfectly. After doing some digging it looks like the Spektrum AR6210 I got with the heli was a fake copy. Must have been playing havock with the beastx reciever setup Thanks for your help!
