Hello,

the bluetooth LE interface is only working with smartphones at the moment. Unfortunately the API we use currently does not support bluetooth LE on Microsoft Windows.

Similar as with StudioX PC software this is only used for creating additional custom parameter setups. The initial setup procedure has to be done at the device and can't be performed from the smartphone (this may change with future firmware releases).

Still looking for any instructions for using this BLE2SYS sitting in my hands. Can I fly with it installed or do I need to unplug it from the Microbeast Plus SYS port and put the ESC power in it's place? If I can fly with it do I need to put an ESC's BEC to some Y adapter to BLE2SYS to Microbeast SYS port so that I can power up the Microbeast as well? I'm using an Android BTW.

Thanks for any help!

I found buried deep in the microbeast wiki never to fly with the Bluetooth interface due to RF interference... Hopefully nobody else is doing this.

I ran across this thread and wondering if the Bluetooth interface can support updates and if its feature parity with the USB one.

I use the Bluetooth and StudioX on my iPhone, and did the update to V5.2 pro as well as the new setup afterwords. Works great

I have both bt and usb. The ease of setup either at the device or on StudioX with usb is easier than the current bt programmer. However, no better replacement than Bluetooth at the field. Last weekend at a fun fly a friend recommended some governor changes (turn off the Beastx gov).
It was simple to check everything and also make some minor parameter adjustments. I also have an esc programmer.
A fellow pilot was spooling up his Kraken 700 on it’s maiden flight. It went wrong because the flight controller response was reversed. The Studio X has programming procedures to prevent this tragedy. So thoroughly setup the heli on the bench, motor disconnected and do a maiden without worrying about the parameters. And always check your swash and tail response!

Merry Christmas and Happy Helidays!

It sounds like you need to set-up the FBL using the transmitter or StudioX USB on the PC. However, is there functionality lost using the Bluetooth and corresponding phone app?

For example, I like to play w/ the custom roll rates on Parameter Menu B (Control Style). Would I be able to change the custom roll rate there from 320 deg/sec to 360 deg/sec while at the field using the bluetooth?

Thanks!

Yes, however I think the BT programmer is discontinued.

Thanks Vroom! It seems like there are some non-labelled Chinese ones available on ebay. I may try one of those.

Default Purchasing a BLE2SYS

I purchased a "white" non-labelled BLE2SYS from China. It arrived fairly quickly (2 weeks), at a good price ($35), and it works great! I'm pleased with it. It is nice to be able to modify things at the field.

In case anyone was wondering what the phone app for the BLE2SYS from StudioXm looks like, it is identical to the StudioX software used on the PC.
