They seem to be implying that the Flash can definitely handle higher headspeeds and more than just mild 3D. We will hopefully see more proof of this after the formal unveiling.
The usual Tareq video should put these fears to rest...

Me too. I've got a 12s motor and esc that I was going to use on a second MEG. I'm just going to save them for the FLASH now

I think it would be really cool if it ran Midi servos for us low headspeed guys. TDF has proven the midis can handle decent headsppeds on a 700.

If not I think I'll just use some low profile servos on this - like the 575sl

I was talking to Mike at Microheli (who are also in Vietnam) today. They are returning to work next week but the only people allowed to return are those that are vaccinated. Vaccines havent been made available to everyone yet, so they will be running at reduced capacity for a while yet.
I'm guessing Lynx/Oxy will be in the same situation.

The latest I saw was a video on FB of Rob McLellan (Oxy Pilot) testing the Flash. The video has a description that the config being tested has a "new main gear and longer tail belt". This makes me assume that the design is still being refined. Longer tail belt could mean a larger tail pulley to speed up the tail... just speculating.

I do wish that a Flash with a full canopy on it will be demoed / tested soon. I have never seen it with a canopy on... I think it would be best if Lynx has the test pilots demo a version with a canopy on.

Hopefully, they will say sometime soon what size main blades it will accept. Eyeing the new RT-715 Ultimates.

I definitely remember where it was said and in which context. You're not very good at your "gut" feelings, thankfully. It's only June and I'm optimistic.
So are you ready to admit I was right about not having this heli on available to buy this year? You were all too eager to call me wrong (prematurely) back in June.

To be fair, neither of you, in June, could have predicted the Vietnam COVID lockdown that caused the delay.

You're also the same guy that SAB would never have a pod and boom.

Put the RT715 on your Specter and put the 700s you currently have on there and save for the Oxy.

Again out of context. What i said after it was 'leaked' that the RAW had a tube boom was i was really surprised. It's true that I didn't think SAB would ever do a tube boom heli (I dont think i was the only one surprised) but I never predicted in advance that they would never have one. (important difference)

It was entirely predictable in June that Covid would impact production. You would have had to have been living in a cave on Mars not to be able to make that deduction. And of course we dont know if they would have been available even without the Vietnam hard lockdown, no one will ever know.

indeed - which is what I said ... you couldn't predict either possibility:

* COVID lockdown
* Getting it done by the end of the year

You just happened to be right but not because you are Nostradamus. Its a coin toss really. Either of you could have been correct.

So, it seems the oxy flash is not a "real" 700, but an adaptation made on oxy 5 so it can fly with 700mm blades (maximum).
Some even mentioned the logo 690, which I have had and could see the limitations of a non authentic 700 heli.
I am a little disappointed. On the customer side, it may not be a good idea buying an oxy flash because certainly a "real" 700 will be released in the near future and I will not want to have an undervalued heli to sell.
Your thoughts.

not what they say. everything is bigger on the heli, sized 700 accordingly, just made lighter for a softer setup.
i think lower headspeeds is new fad in heli these days?

Hard to believe the baloney salami that gets posted by people who have no idea and/or just ignore the facts. Vent over.

One of the Flash development/prototype models was flown at IRCHA 2021 and was carefully inspected by many hundreds of attendees. It was on open display at the OXY booth. Anyone could walk up to it and touch it. Many did.

The FLASH is MUCH bigger than an OXY5 (one was displayed nearby). The FLASH was designed as a 700 for a particular niche. If you do not like that niche, be patient.
