Default Do I need to replace my Futaba Receivers if I'm switching to VControl Touch Radio?

Hello,

I am thinking of buying the Mikado VControl Touch Radio. I already have Vbar FBL's on all of my Heli's. However, all of my Heli's have Futaba Receivers (mostly the R3008SB). Do I need to buy new receivers for the Radio to work? Or will I be able to Bind my Futaba Receivers to the VControl Touch Radio?

Regards,

JR

Yes you will need to buy the Mikado vlink receiver.

You will also need to update the firmware in each unit to make it work with the vbar controller.

Which FBL units do you have?

You will need to buy the Mikado VSat for the non Vlink versions of the Neo to work with the VBC/VBCt.

If your Neos are the latest hardware version then you can update them to Vlink, so you dont need an external Vsat.

Can I use this conversion kit instead? 05062 Conversion Kit for VBar NEO to VBar NEO VLink. It allows you to convert a Non Vlink Vbar to a Vlink Vbar.

Yes, that's the hardware kit that is mentioned in the article I linked to. You also need the software update of course.

Note that the kit only works on the latest 'V2' Neo, not the original version.

That should be apparent in the vstabi website when you view your devices once logged in.

Just checked VStabi and it shows the serial numbers, device name (Vbar Neo - No Vlink) etc… But it doesn’t show the Version numbers. When I click on the Apps icon there is a drop down menu that say Vlink Add. Does that mean I have the right version number?

You have to look up your serial number on the cross grade option.. in there it tells you the serial numbers that can be updated and ones that can’t..

To me it’s not worth it when you can buy a used Vlink for like 250 bucks or a used vsat for maybe 50

I found the cross grade, but it's asking for a Voucher Number. Where do I find that? What if I don't have one?

I'm guessing here but might the voucher code come with the hardware kit?

the voucher code is once you pay for the crossgrade option i believe, then you can download the firmware.. but you still need antennas and/or conversion kit.

you would still need to verify if its even possible depending on serial #

Link posted earlier https://www.vstabi.info/en/add_vlink

All explained on how you purchase the firmware upgrade for each Neo that can be upgraded.

Purchase process here as well https://shop.mikado-heli.de/VBar-Ele...&c=8039&p=8039
