Default using a neo on a flybarred heli?

has anyone used or is it possible to use a neo on a flybarred heli? on mikado faq section it wlsays yes with having swash n rotor gains set to zero. but that's it. not much detail after that... reason asking is I was given an old vario r22 flybarred heli. and I have an extra neo which would be great to use for the tail gyro and reciever and gov... and not having to buy an old 401 futaba and reciver or different transmitter

Yes that is all that is required, you then choose the swashplate layout and proceed with the setup as per normal. After basic setup is done then turn main rotor gains to zero in each bank.
