Default HW 120 V4 Platinum telemetry

Hi

I'd like to feed the telemetry from my 120A V4 into my Spektrum system. Receiver is the 8020T and transmitter the NX8.

Am I right in thinking I can use this from github to provide me all the sensor info? I'd like to feed into the xbus port on my 8020. Anyone tried it?

It really does look interesting. The only part of that setup that I would have some problems with would be the programming of the unit. If you are successful, it would easily link the HW (or others with the appropriate changes) to the X-Bus interface. I have given up on HW and Avian only because of the poor implementation of the internal governor while Spektrum is in the testing state with their internal governor. Good luck with this project.

I’ve ordered the bits needed so hopefully I’ll have a crack at this tomorrow. Hoping I can feed the telemetry into the xbus port.

The funny part is that I can absolutely wire everything up so that it will plug into the X-Bus port and all the other battery sensor locations. I think I could even work out the connectors for items like the GPS and Altimeter and Vario but programming?, not on your life. I'd be lost in a heartbeat. If you can work out the programming, I would love to know how to do it. Take care.

Programmed and wired up. Need to check and triple check the xbus wiring but hopefully test later when I’m home from the field. As far as I can tell I just needed to change the config to select xbus and LV HW ESC. I’ll update later 🙂

If it works I’ll remove the headers for the heli connections and hard wire and shrink wrap it.
