Default Initializing on Level Surface

Regarding FBL unit initialization, the Blade 150S user manual states:

“Place the helicopter on a level surface and leave it still until the ESC beeps twice and the blue LED glows solid, indicating initialization is complete.”

Question: If NOT using any of the stability modes or the rescue mode, is a level surface still required when initializing?

Thanks,

John L.

Yes I thinks It´s just to make sure that the gyro is not moved while powering up. Could cause some drift issues otherwise. But, tbh I´ve powered up my heli on grass or other surfaces that wasn´t perfectly level and it flies fine.
Anyway, the process of initializing takes just a couple of seconds..
