Kraken 580 FBL Tray

Maybe I am losing my mind but the tray setup that was sent in my kit is different than what is posted in the manual. I have contacted SAB and they said there was a change and everything fits the exact same but unless I am losing my mind there is no way to screw in the upper tray with the stand off's because the frame of the tray is in the way. I know I can modify everything to make it work but for the money I paid for the kit should I really have to? I am not knocking SAB, the kit is a piece of art in my opinion, everything went together and fit like a glove except this part and SAB thinks that it should go together just like the manual shows. If you look at the manual and the part you can see that the spacing is different.

It looks like they changed part: H1237-S.

Yours doesn’t have a simple square perimeter, it has ears at the end. Contact SAB or the shop that sold the kit and see if they’ll get you the right one.

I too am in the middle of a 580e build. The part they sent you is actually for the 580 nitro. this will not work with the electric because you cannot get the screws to fit flush that hold it in the metal brackets and top shelf. Call and tell them you need to correct part. They took care of me promptly. Thanks.

If you can't get the other bracket you can either mount the fbl tray on the rubber mounts or stick the Rx under the rear servo (This is what I do).

When I emailed SAB they did not say that this was the wrong part or even the part from the nitro kit. I ended up drilling my own holes in the tray and made it work.

My kit was the same way. With the quality of everything else I was a bit shocked when I discovered this issue. I decided to just not use the upper tray but it's a little disappointing this was overlooked.

Yeah and it was almost like SAB was not concerned. They asked me what i wanted them to do...
Ummm send me the correct parts?

Honestly the helicopter is so good it was no big deal me to and took me 15 minutes to make the modification.

Yea I was not too concerned but since I saw this post I decided to open a support ticket. I honestly don't care if they send me another part or not as I am not using the upper tray anyway but it would be nice to have in case I do decided to use the upper tray later down the road. I mainly wanted SAB to see another "complaint" on this issue just for awareness so they know it may be a common issue.
