Default HW 130 Issue

Changed HW setting from ELF Gov to Heli Linear.
Restarting, I get "Throttle signal loss protection beep every 2 seconds, though the servos operate.
Manual says:

Throttle Signal Loss Protection:
When the ESC detects loss of signal for over 0.25 second, it will cut off the output immediately to avoid an even greater loss which may be caused by the continuous high-speed rotation of propellers or rotor blades.
The ESC will resume the corresponding output after normal signals are received.

What changed to cause this error and how do i fix it?
Thx

My HW 120 did this a few weeks ago after I was messing with the settings. I had to lower the throttle and lower the trim all the way dow to get past it. Plugging the programmer in wasn’t doing anything.

when you changed the settings, did you unplug the lipo, then plug it back in?
that way it saves the setting.
did you change it to heli linear for fbl gov? was this reciently updated for telemetry?

No, the changes had not been saved!
But after saving the changes, it still the beeps. As well, since no changes were made before, the heli should have performed as it had before, which was normally, albeit with a hot engine. It didn't.

I am using iKON2. You lowered the THR and trim where? Recalibrated TX/ESC? Ikon sw?

I had to go into my radio (DX9) and set the throttle back to default. It was raised from getting to 100% in ikon software. I lowered the trim tab next to the throttle as well till the Esc went passed the beeping.

those trims in the DX9 should be disabled. the hobbywing throttle values are right in the ikon setup menu.
theres no reason to move any values in the tx.

iKON software:

-Page 5 TX Setup shows THR 0 to 100%.
-Page 12 Throttle Out, I set Min to 500 (1100 worked and recommended for HW) and still, only slow beeps (Throttle Signal Loss Protection).

So, is the esc broken? Did the settings change bugger it up?

Reset esc to default.
Turn on TX.
Plug in bat.
Get the single beep, 2 sec delay, beep.
What else can I try?

try an set the endpoints again, but this time just put it to elf gov, then unplug it.. then plug the lipo back in with the throttle high.. see if you get the 2 beeps, them move the throttle to low and see if it arms. try it with heli linear also.

Have you confirmed that the ESC is outputting zero throttle when you try and power it up? Look at the live throttle data in the Brain software and see what is happening. Did you switch to a linear 0-100% TC from the flat TC that Elf uses since you are back in linear mode again?

The beeping you describe means its either not seeing zero at power up, or that its not seeing any throttle signal at all which shouldn't be the case unless you have recently removed the ESC plugs from the FBL unit and put them back incorrectly

Make sure there isnt anything governor related turned on in the Brain software that could be interfering until you can get the throttle to operate properly in a simple linear standard TC first and then go from there if using the Brains governor is the goal. Then read and follow EVERY instruction on the left hand side of the gov setup page

Got it. Thanks for the step by step help.
I had flipped the THR signal wire in my trouble shooting; it is not clearly visible so I had not discerned it was flipped until I removed the esc.
