Default Hello from Rhode Island.

Started years ago with planes. Kind of got out of that. About a decade ago bought some Syma toy like helis for indoors which were pretty fun. Moved to and still fly drones, FPV, Mini whoops and camera. Just discovered the joy of (Mostly crashing) helis. These things are addictive. I'm keeping at it, flying, crashing repairing...repeat. I'm getting better but still have a long ways to go. Hoping there are some other local guys here.

Yeah, welcome to the club. If you haven’t already, check out rchelicopterfun.com. He has a whole video series that helped me in the initial learning stages. Most important, as you stated, don’t give up. You didn’t mention what Heli you are flying now… when you get into the larger, more expensive machines, invest in a FBL system that has “rescue” as a feature. It will save you countless hours of repair and much money on parts.

Hey Kris,

I’m also in Rhode Island. Down in Coventry, where are you? I fly at Beadie field also in Coventry. It’s called RI aeromodelers club, there are a bunch of Heli guys there. Busiest time to pop over is Sat and Sunday before noon.

Hi Kyle

I'm up in Northern Foster. Is that the area near the sand pits and rt95? I just been flying and crashing on my property so far.

Yes, been over there and watched countless John Salt vids. Good stuff. Currently flying Blade 70S indoors and Eachine 130 FP outside. Just ordered a used Blade Nano as my first foray into CP.

Hey Kris,
That is correct, about 1/4 mile from the sand pits. I'm going to try to be there Saturday morning if I can, but house work and building planes makes it difficult.
