Are the same size bolts opposing or adjacent? I think I'd be nervous to try it out but I'd imagine opposing would be at least better.

Use two M4 bolts at 30mm it will be fine. I have built lots of helicopters with two motor bolts. Dry fit them to make sure they are not too long that they touch any wires. Then lock tight them in place.

Hello,
I am finisihing the building and now I have tried the battery tray with the velcros on it I have found the velcro hits the connectors of the lower frame.
I am using Mikado velcros from my Logo 600.

Anybody has encountered this problem? Also, I can't beleive how I have paid for this extra battery tray system and the velcro strips are not included...

Is there any solution different to remove all the connectors and sand them?

I had this problem as well. The suggestion is to use tape. As I share packs across helis, I used 3M dual lock or similarly named product to hold the lipos in place and then a non stick thin velcro based wrap that was thin enough to slip through between tray and frame. Now I use a bicycle handle bar wrap between lipo and tray to stop slippage. Hope this helps.

I use the mikado velcro as well, but it rubs just a bit. Not enough though to be a problem.
I was using a bicycle inner tube cut into 2" wide bands and that worked great (just a bit of a pain to remove).
Putting a flat spot on the braces sounds like a good solution though.

I use Velcro straps just make it so there is only one strip thick at the top.

Finally I did the maiden flight yesteraday in the evening.
The heli flyed great.
Here is a piece of the third flight:

Btw, I am a bit concerned about the main blades because I have tighten a lot the bolts but they don't get tight so I am afraid of a boom strike. I have tried with the shims included in the kit and with the shims included in the main blades (Rotortech 610). Anybody else have encountered this problem?

Glad the maiden went well !! My main blades are snug. I had to tighten the bolts quite a bit. But nothing out of the ordinary. I use plastic blade washers whenever I can.
