Basically a larger Oxy 5, which is fine, maybe their #2 700 will be all new who knows. This heli still is interesting as a light version, kinda like a Logo 690SX where you are limited to blade size but can obtain the high 10LBS to low 11LB charachteristics.

Wonder if the 700 nitro will be a larger Nitroxy. I love my Nitroxy. Great design and crashes very well.

700mm max blade size along with 106mm tails. Was told at ircha the flash is considered a 690 machine while their 2nd 700 in the works will be a "much larger" heli. I saw it in person and it definitely looks just like a slightly larger Oxy 5.

Maybe later, but the 2-700s are both electric.

Personally I'd liked to have seen a larger diameter hollow main shaft as used on pretty much every 700 these days. Being hollow you get increased stiffness with no weight impact, it's the way to go. Having said that I totally get why Oxy stuck with the 10mm shaft of the Oxy 5. If they had changed the shaft diameter it would have been a total re-design, pretty much nothing from the Oxy 5 could have been carried over. I'm sure that the other 700 that's in development being (presumably) a 'clean sheet of paper' design will use a larger diameter main shaft.

I appreciate that many people wont give a hoot what diameter the shaft is, as long as it works

The larger diameter shaft will definitely come with the larger Oxy model... With regards to a 10mm shaft (currently on the Oxy 5s), I have no problem with it on the Flash as the latter is a lighter weight 690-700 max heli. Also I am still flying a 7HVU weighing 12.3 lbs with a 10mm shaft with no issues whatsoever.
