Default SPM 4651T compatibility

New to all these SRXL2 receivers. Anyone know if this one is compatible with the microbeast plus?

It should, but we recently had one member report that he couldnít get his Microbeast Plus receiver menu to recognize the SPM4651T in THIS THREAD.

Default 4651t srxl2

I’ve attached the receiver manual for wiring the 4651t correctly. I’m running the same combo on my Kraken. You MUST mind the + - before you plug the 4651t into the side port. Mine works excellent, no satellite required or allowed. Feel free to ask me any questions about version 5.2.4.

PS the srxl2 connection is described on the bottom of the page.

If you go into the telemetry menu in your Spektrum tx, click on auto-config. Then you will get packet loss, frames and holds. It’s good to know if your receiver is working properly in real time.

Hi
I have microbeast v5.0, I assume the 4651T works with this?

Looking at the diagram of the polarity change, you only do it to the end which goes into the beast, is that correct?

Also it looks like all 4 wires are in the wrong position? from left to right it is orange, black, grey & brown?

Not without a firmware update.

The SPM4651T uses SRXL2 communication protocol only. Microbeast firmware version 5.2.4 introduced compatibility with SRXL2.

Technically it doesnít matter which end of the cable you change, so long as the connections are correct at both ends.

Reorder the individual wires as needed in the end connectors so the pins at the SPM4651T match the correct ones at the Microbeast.

Normally the colors are assigned as follows:

Orange (yellow) = data
Red = positive DC
Black (brown) = negative DC

The grey wire found on the oem cable isnít used and isnít needed. Keep it or remove it to save weight.

The correct connector for the side pin board of the Microbeast Plus is a 6-pin JST-ZH with 1.5mm pin spacing.

Thank you John for the information, I have ordered the USB so I can update the firmware, I have 2 other models with v5.0, so worthwhile to update them all.
Regards, Paul

You're welcome.

If you need a 6-pin JST-ZH connector for the Microbeast, another option is to order THESE prefabricated wiring harnesses from Amazon. You can remove the connectors from the wiring harnesses.
