For helicopter use FMOD is to select a different flight mode.

You might have a flight mode where you have a particular pitch curve for accurate hovering moves and another flight mode for full on 3D.

GEAR on a fixed wing plane used to lower the under-carriage.

FLAP on a glider to lower the flaps.

On "better" transmitters this is all moot as the switches are programmable and can be used or assigned for any function.

What transmitter and where is your manual?

That manual is badly written using other technical terms even I have no clue about / never heard about since 2012.

More Chinglish than proper English.

But the included TX picture at least shows Fmode switch and the one listed table shows IdleUp (Fm1/St1) throttle- and pitch curve values for proper 3D / inverted flying.

Those are not beginner values!!

Needs further adjustments for flying around (normal, landing gear down) with fixed throttle and reduced pitch values.

You don't want 5x 90% throttle.

IdleUp (Fm1/St1) flight mode requires ZERO pitch at the mid stick when spooling up (releasing hold switch).

It you want to switch between Normal and IdleUp modes during hovering in the air better make sure that you have similar pitch values around and above mid stick.

- 50 in the middle (zero pitch)
- 75 as the next point

If you use e.g 65 for a scale pitch curve (3rd point) with reduced positive pitch (80) for Normal (Fm0) but a 3d linear pitch curve in IdleUp mode the heli either jumps up or down if the curves are not similar.

The suggested IdleUp is not for you in the E180 manual as it has a greater collective pitch scale, both for negative and positive.

IdleUp will make more sense for round flight when you can use 5x70, 5x65 or 5x60 throttle.

90% throttle is too high for you.
Later you may find 80-85% throttle okay when you only control the heli with collective pitch incl. wind.

IdleUp usually does not use any 0% throttle on the lowest curve points so the motor spools constantly and you can apply some negativ pitch, like the 30-40-50... pitch curve from Normal flight mode....or full negative pitch for 3d/inverted.
