Talking Back Again

Hiya all

55, bus driver, Kendal UK

I started with Heli's in 2008 with a Trex, one with the blue anodised metal head, 450 and a dx7, 401 gyro. Couple of years with 450 then a 600 and then a 700 back to a 600 in an airwolf fuse. Had a move, work and family took over so I sold up. I always regretted it.......

Well this year I saw the 500x dominator...............What is this, large amount of looking and drooling lol. Couldn't resist so I got it, I still had my real flight sim but so outdated, I got rf 8 and the dongle for my tx and while I build my new rex I'm back on the sim.

I spent 3 months learning how to hover back in 07 before I took my 450 out, I'd flown it in my head a million times though. I can not stress enough..... GET a sim and USE the sim!! When I finally got out to fly it made it so much easier, I knew what the controls did without having to think too much, worth every penny and 3 minor spills in 18 months, 2 my complacency and one was "I should've know better than to fly in gusty windy conditions" 20+ and gusty hey ho..... dumb ass!

Great to see the info and help is all still there, just like when I started out back in the day ha ha ha. Massive help then and it has been invaluable this time around finding my feet etc.
Keep up the brilliant work......

Started with helis in 2010, added planks in 2014, last couple of years been more into the planes. I have a 500 I haven't flown yet and I want to get my 700 fixed and back in the rotation.

What flavor of experimental particle physics?

Had I not gone into physics education research I’d have done that. Dark matter detection, perhaps.
