people have an old stereotype about small helis before the tech has reached this level.
they used to be small squirrely and hard to control.
with the advances in tech they have gotten more and more stable.

if you can fly that 450 in your sig.. you can fly the 200 or 250 with little issues.

Anybody know if there are any online Trex 250 manuals floating around the net yet?? What size servos should I buy for this? I'm looking at either HB-65 or HB-45. Which is best/which will fit??

It has already been stated that HS-65 servos will fit the T-Rex 250. The Align servos that come with the combo kit are the same size, see the photos at the beginning of this thread.

depending on the specs i might swap them with the HS65's in the 450. The 450 wont mind the extra weight.

HS65 are only one gram lighter than the align servo. And not digital.

"Heavy" is all relative.

When T-Rex 450 first came out, everybody said it was heavy. Because all they had to compare it to were 400 size helis like Shogun/Zoom/Zap/etc. Then people learn the flexibility of electric power and made the 450 fly like rockets. I don't hear anybody calling T-Rex 450 heavy now.

Agreed. You can't compare apples and oranges. I'm not expecting to top the GAUI 200 video with the 5150 motor, it would not be fair. However, I'm sure it will prove to perform better than a stock GAUI 200. There are already motors out there that can be used to upgrade the T-Rex 250 performance. I'm sure I'll do an "insane power" video with the 250 as well in the near future too

I don't want to put the GAUI 200 down because it is a great heli, but In my opinion, the 250 is a better overall package than any other 200 heli out there. It is easier to work on, metal head parts will handle crashes better due to its design and it is cheaper and more accessible to everyone. To to mention the fact that parts will be widely available and not just from a select group of vendors.

Do you think it need carbon blades or are those stock plastic ones just fine.?

Glad to help Don. Mk1spitfire, I think the stock plastic ones are just OK. These little helis need flexible blades to help with extra dampening, too stiff of a blade can make it very hard to fly unless the actual head dampening is loosen up quite a bit.

ok, thats great to know Bert. Any idea which motor route you may take for crazy performance.?
