Finished my assignments and looked at the AR7210BX manual.
pg48 tells how to assign a different switch for activation of SAFE rather than having it on the gear/gyro channel.

Just finished quickly editing up my Maiden flight, plus 3 flights, hit produce, and I'm off to bed. I'll upload in the morn.

Panic is the same channel the high numbers for your tail the low number is panic...so i wouldnt touch low! It needs to see the low. so 60 I would change to 57 maybe at least that's what I gather from my manual

Really liking the feel of the 7210 over the 7200. Anyone else notice it or is it just me?

I flew with the Taranis. According to Gambino just change the high number on the panic switch to adjust the tail gain.

Try calling hh. See what they say about tail gain and taranis... And if you are careful and not afraid take mains off hold the heli with one hand spin her up and go into iu3 see how tail behaves after changing a few points. U should test like this before u fly again for sure. U def got to get it sorted because tail is solid! Has to be radio programming that is off ;ie gain

So spin it up with main blades off and wave the heli around to see if the tail holds? I'm patiently waiting for YouTube to take its sweet to to finish uploading the maiden flights. I'll wait til you watch it.

I'm off to my Wireless Com class but will get some quick links in the description...but for now enjoy the video of my first 4 flights and just scroll through to find the spot during my 3rd flight when I get the tail oscillation.

I can't tell what the tail is doing in your video.... but it sounds like fast tail wag also no I do not want you to wave the helicopter around lol I want you to hold it on the main frame just under their main gear and shoulder height flick into idle up 3 and see if the tail goes nuts... even move collective up and down a little while u do this. Try to simulate what happened try to get that wag or buzzing or whatever that was to come back I seriously strongly advise you balance your tail blades while the main blades are all you will be able to tell better

Dude I watched it again I'm going with gyro gain there is too many signs that point to it being gain ( fast forward flight and at 10:21 in video u start turning that tail bam...it starts ,also the pitch pumps all that is hard on the tail) I'm telling you go down 3 or 4 points , fly again in idle up 3 if that doesn't work go down another 2 I'm almost positive its gyro gain I feel very good about this because when you went back down to normal mode it went away. And like I said also balance your tail blades that will make for a smooth tail....... easy fix though otherwise just lower your gain

Hey by chance you didn't change the governor gain did you in the castle program? I think stock is 8 I would leave it there, anyway sometimes changing the gov gain on a small helicopter like this affects the tail

Getting a few inches of snow today and the wind started blowing so I won't be able to test the tail unless I do it in hand like you said Gambino.
I tossed some quick links in the video description. Can't wait to get out and fly more!

Check your belt tension.. Sounds like your belt is slipping with the added weight during hard pitch pumps. Tail shakes like that when the belt slips.
My 360's belt tension was lose out of the box and tightening the belt fixed it. |

Nope left that setting alone...but must dbl check. I'm sure it's tail gain. Doing the same thing my buddies X3 was before he tuned the tail.

Well hope that's not it because both me and my buddy thought the belt could almost be loosened up a bit. We are no experts though. I just left it alone. Seems pretty tight though...what seems to be more than just a light amount of pressure to have the belt half way.

Much appreciation for the help Gambino! With only one local buddy who flies, it's nice to have others to communicate with. My other buddy is backing off on flying also :/ but I understand.
I'll let you know tomorrow if it was the gain. Sure I'll get out for atleast a single flight if the wind is down.

You got to put in consideration the 6s power. May not slip if you lower your pitch limits. This heli is a beast.... Lots of power and torque.

I understand, but it's tight IMO. You'd be more help if you told me good way to check the belt tention. Manual says lightly press and it should go half way to the other side.

It shouldnt be belt, i seen yours in first video looked tight like mine. I say leave it... just make sure the belt tensioner bolts are tight. Mine was actually really tight like yours everything is good ....anyways my bet is still tail gain
