Hi John,
I spoke with Chuck of Peak Aircraft. Asked him if there is anything new. He mentioned to me about a sliding battery tray and also a colored tail fin. I didn't ask if he is going to "mass" produce those items. Hopefully he'll chime in. John

Re: Minicopter Add-ons or Upgrades
They used the one from procarbon and that one is really a nice piece of high quality carbon....but thats also the problem, it is ultra stiff and during tests it became to dangerous vibes. Advice from Gerd is not to use it because the alu tailboom absorbs some vibes.

In answer to an old post. Carbon fibre tail boom tested and it runs fantastic with zero issues. It is made out of a high quality matt finish carbonfibre twill. With no cheesy fillers. The boom is as rigid as a baseball bat.
700 Triabolo is equipped with: Skookum 720, Koz 800-40/YGE160 on 14s. Head speed tested at 1800HS with Koll balanced Edge mains, but Nhp's in the works. RcTek Tri rotor tail running 115 Nhp's. All I had to do to this is to cut it down to size, then slightly sand the tail hub end down for a precise fit, and slot it for the clamps. I tried it first with stiff boom supports, but quickly found out it doesn't need them. I have hammered this now in hard 3d, and it is rock solid. If you are running Skookum, this works! http://www.flycarbon.com/1000mm--30m...atte_p_79.html Also, Bob at RcTek sent me a tri rotor tail to test out with our fabulous Diabolo's. And I have wrung this one out, and can say they are just perfect! In both the original 5mm tail shaft size, which I still am running, and the newer 6m sized tail shaft. My Sk720 vibe logs tell me at speed I don't have any tail blades mounted on the hub, they are so vibe free!
