Default direct drive motor 450 pro cp / fp

I have been talking with Helihankster for awhile about making a 450 fp using the funcopter direct drive motor.I ordered a EXI 450 pro for this project.I wanted to use everything from the kit and as little custom parts as possible. My first frame had the motor on the bottom plate. I did that so I would not have to make an alum motor mount.HH asked if i could turn the main shaft down to 4mm to move the motor up for more room for the rx . Great ideal. That ideal does two things. I don't need a short piece of 4mm shaft to go into the motor and no coupler to connect both shafts.. I put the aile and pitch servo's like a 450 se. Put the servo's one way they line up for cp flip them the other way for fp. I was still able to make the motor mount out of g10. The parts I used are beam 450 51t tail pulley, belt and belt guide wheels, copterx black angel main shaft ,walkera # 36 boom blocks and tail belt idler wheel mount from cnccopter that goes on their 3dx450cse custom fiber frame.

Thats cool that will be very quiet.

Look into the failure rate of that tail servo mount, I think they are know to crack. Its only used on the pro frame.

Looks absolutely fantastic JC!!!!!! Brother, your frame making skills are off the heezy fo sheezy!!!

I have to thank you Bro, as I haven’t been this excited over a build project in a long time. I see by the first picture, you have the tb-36 in hand…sweet. I also see in the picture there is no battery connector on the esc. Have you had a chance since taking the picture to do a quick motor spin test on 3s yet? Just wondering if all is good, because I did received my tb-54 yesterday. Now I just need to wait a month for the motor.

I cut the frame and have it assembled. Put the connectors on the thunderbird 36 esc and it works with the fc motor. Yea!!! that only took 5 esc's to find that out LOL .The first time I started it up it was not smooth at all. Without main and tail rotor's it should be quiet.Ended up being bad tail shaft bearings. The rx is under the motor. Take off the three screws on the bottom plate for access. Other parts are coming in tomorrow so I am shooting for a xmas maiden. I think this is going to be a good one.

Truly magnificent my friend…total bad ass is the phrase that comes to mind. The finished frame design looks absolutely great! Also glad to hear the tb-36 is working out with the V2 motor…sweetness!!!

Seriously…seriously…seriously looking forward to the maiden! I don’t think this is going to be a good one, I know it’s going to be a good one. After the holidays are over I will be ordering not just one frame kit from you, but two.

working on the mongoose right now, putting a new tail servo and gyro in it. the spartan 760 was just too hard for me to tune, you need like eight hands to get into the programming if you don't have the flash, and if you do have the flash drive, then you need a windows machine. I had the flash, but now windows machine, and I never had eight hands

hopefully will get it installed by tomorrow, but i have family coming over today, so we'll see

AWESOME heli to fly!!! First off, i gotta say that when i flew it, i thought it had already gone through some 'test' flights with jc500. But as it turns out, the test hovers was the only air time this heli as seen until i got to fly it.

So if this was an RTF heli, it would have flown PERFECTLY out of the box!!!!

It handles like a 450 sized Funcopter!!!

It was a pleasure to fly and handled beautifully!!! jc500 did an outstanding job on this frame, I highly recommend it!!!
