I have had 2 Nanos with the brushless kit installed. I've never had them fail but the HH ESCs are rather notorious for giving up the ghost unexpectedly. We've had several fail in our little flying group from the 200QX, 300X & a Trojan.

Well, it is posted in the nanocps subforum, so....nano cps?

Ive probably got 50-75 flights with 200-250 crashes lol. So this has seen its fair share of dirt. In all honestly i think the nano just hit in the exact right spot hard enough and caused the boards to touch causing a short. Idk just a guess. Not to upset ive got an extra so its already back in the air.

Great info here! Thanks! I just picked up the HH brushless kit from my LHS. I'm going to install and set it up after work today. Are there any new tips or other guidelines?

Please make a 400size heli or a 300 helisize with autoselfleveling... normal people that buy your product's don't have the know how to put "ikon's" or "mikados" Flybar units and tune them.....and "Kbar's" are not yet autoselfleveling or 6axis gyros!!
I second this, I have the big units, but would love to have a smaller one set up out of the box RTF or BNF.

Did you just leave the old battery terminal on and cut the new one off both the one that's supposed to plug into the board and the battery plug and solder the wire to the top of the board where the existing one is soldered underneath? The esc soldering point is on the right side of the 2 if your looking at it in the view of your pic? I know this is an older thread but there is really no info of putting this motor on the cps not a single video kinda surprising really.

Trying to revive this for a question I have.

Where do I connect the two prong orange wire from the new esc unit?
Also a new servo installed wont move. Any suggestions?

I connected the orange wire to the positive side of the motor connector.

Yes, that's all I did. Be advised, however, the brushless will use more battery and produce greater torque. For these reasons, I suggest using 220 mAh packs and reducing your pitch end points to, say, 80/80 or so.
