Good job with the save. Did you have flames or just lost headspeed?

Goblin had it testing on 8S setup with HW130 V4 ESC and flying was fun today. Wobling almost went away and speed is getting better. Weight reduction seemed to make difference.

But with 9S something weird happened and VBar lost governor sensor data and i crashed heli. Not bad but enough to call it crash. This heli is worst autorotator ever, i think a snowball would autorotate better.

Heres the file of best flight (just take the .txt end away) and screenshot.

This has been a super helpful thread. Ive been wanting to transition into speed for awhile now. 3D just has no interest to me. Id love to transition into speed on my goblin 380. Currently have the HW 100, xnova Tareq motor, stock 21T pinion. Definitely gonna go up on the pinion size. What do you guys suggest for the best main/ tail blades for this class? Currently running Zeals for everyday flyer blades but i know theres gotta be something thatll bite the air better? Switch blades?

So far on main blades I am liking the Halo 385's.

As for tail blades, once you get any kind of real speed going, you'll want less "bite" on the tail blades. They will be spinning crazy fast and you generally will want less mechanical gain.

I am using Switch 60mm tail blades on my Protos 380 and am having great success with them. Granted, to use those same blades on the G380, you would need spacers.

I would also say that Halo or Switch blades work fine.

I have both SAB and Alzrc 380 and the Alzrc has a much heavier frame than the SAB. The top of the line ones have all metal tail parts and servo mounts as well. Just an FYI if interested. I also have 300+ flights on the Alzrc with no failures. I certainly don't run the head speed as high as you do for sure.

Hmmmm......KiloXray's Protos 380 Speed just came up for sale. Got me thinking. Figure out a way to run my 3D 380 as a Speed too or just go full out and buy his. Must resist the urge.
