Default Henseleit TDR 2 tail problem

Now I've tested it with the smaller tail blades and started with a tail gain of 55 in stead of 40, and I have tail hunting like hell or tail wagg no idea . I've tried it at 45 and still the same. I tried it on 80 and also still tail hunting or tail wagg.

With the 116mm the tail was not perfect only started hunting on faster speeds but with this it already does it at hoover

Also tested at 100 tail gain and still does it I don't now if it's tail wag or tail hunting but I think tail wag because with the 116mm tail blades it's gone

If I look to the vibrations on my vbar neo on the bench there is no big problem the max 125Hz

Setscrew that is holding tailpulley is not too tight?
Bearings on tailblade grips fully inserted?
Thrust bearings correct installation?

I check those soon as I'm home but with the 116mm tail blades I don't have the same problems as with the 96s

There is a little play in the tail blade holders but that's normal right? Normaly are the bearings okay. And what set screw do you mean, maybe you can take a picture of it please?

Thanks!

Hello

My servo is kst x20-1035 and the servo setting in the vbar neo is not correct because I can't find a servo in the list of the vbar with these settlings.

760us/560hz. How can I do that in the vbar? It's now on the Futaba bls 251 setting. So far as I know the vbar doesn't have the 560hz setting? Because they say more then 333hz isn't better

Not in setup mode and 80 tail gain.

I've found something strange,

The tail Optimizer is turned on maybe turn that off?

I think I gonna reset the tail settings and turn of tail optimizer after work and test again or is that a bad idea?

Update rate is just a figure, the 333MHz that Mikado uses is perfect for all tail servos, and yes the BLS251 selection is correct for your servo. If you hover the mouse on the servo selection you will see more servo manufacturers.

I have only used Futuba BLS servos on my helis and they definitely do not show the movement I see in your video. On the bench the servo will move to nearly full travel as the tail is not following the demanded rate.

Tail optimizer will not change the movement on the bench it needs the helicopter to rotate to measure the performance and automatically adjust stop and rate behaviour.

Leave the tail settings at default values it works really well with the TDR2. I have only adjusted the overall gain.

Had the same problem with my diablo and the answer ended up being the governor gain was too high.
