Default 500x Tail Boom Case Problem

Hi All,
Has anyone with a 500x experienced troubles getting their belt properly tightened? I maxed out the belt tension using the built-in tensioners and it didn't do much at all. Two Align-sponsored pilots said the new tensioning system still requires you to pull the boom out for major adjustment. So that's what I did but while trying to lock down the boom in the tail case the two small (M2.5) nuts that hold the boom stripped the plastic inserts in the case where the nuts go so now the nuts spin freely inside the recessed plastic of the tail case.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so how did you resolve it? If you haven't be have ideas for fixing it please help so I'm no longer grounded.

Thanks!
Michael

My 500X had a belt way too tight and it snapped. When I rebuilt, with new belt and boom, it is just right with tensioners part way in. So, I still don't know if the first belt was too short or the first boom was too long.

As mine is now, I can just skip one tooth if I grab and twist the tail rotor hard. I'd like it to slip on a landing tail strike. Maybe you want yours tighter.

I've experienced this on my 500L - Solution, buy another case.

Apologies for sounding so flippant with my reply. What I was trying to say was that I had the same problem. I tried numerous things to try and solve it but the only solution I came to was to buy another case (Not too expensive).
