Default RPM Telemetry

Can I get RPM telemetry to my OpenTX radio when I'm not using the gov? I've set up a speed machine and am not using any gov, but would like to still get RPM telemetry on my Horus.

I know that things are wired correctly on this model, because the LUA integration and other telemetry values from FrSky sensors work, but the RPM telemetry from the Spirit does not get discovered. However, it does work on a different model where I use the gov.

Yes, it will work with firmware version 2.4.1.
The variable is same as for governor RPM.

Hmm. It's not showing up for some reason. I also don't get the fuel one for vibes either. I'll try some more tonight.

It seems odd that the Lua scripting for configuration works though.

I am on the latest FW rev as well.

You have to probably scan for a new sensors. Then it will be discovered.

You have to only enable the ESC telemetry, otherwise it will be not there.
But I guess you have already enabled it since you want to use ESC telemetry.

I actually just ordered the Spirit telemetry cable and a HW 130A v4 ESC. So, that's not installed yet. I have a HV 100 v3 with an RPM cable out plugged into the Spirit. I was hoping to see the RPM from that on my TX. If that won't work for some reason, I can wait a week until I have everything for my new ESC and see what happens.

Thank you for the quick responses.

It's really odd that's not working for you. I'm not using the Spirit gov yet but I've been getting RPM and vibe telemetry on my Horus since 2.3.0.

Could your FRSky sensors be messing/blocking with the Spirit telemetry? If you unplug them does Spirit telem work? Just a guess. Dan

Dan, That was it.

The Spirit telemetry does not like the GPS unit. Works fine with a 150A current sensor when I take the GPS out of the loop, but when I have it in there, no Spirit telemetry gets through.

This stinks. I wanted to get rid of the current sensor with the HW 130A, but now it looks like I can't unless there is a FW update that can fix this. I'll wait and see.

Thank you.

Take the time to write this in the Spirit support forum, and they will fix it FOR SURE.
