Scott, i went to try to oil the lower motor bearing today and again found no where to access the bearing. The one in the motor, not the pinion support. Can you help me out here?

Jake I get to mine with the heli upside down, going thru the battery trays. I ave a 6" or longer plastic needle oiler that just gets right in there.
On the other hand I have had my x5 with the stock scorpion motor for over a year now and have only oiled the bearing 3 times.

I think you're mistaking the pinion support bearing with the inner motor bearing nearest the output shaft. I am able to oil the upper bearing because of the cooling fan openings, but I am unable to reach the lower bearing, so I haven't oiled it.

I figured it out. I have the scorpion motor oil with the needle that snaps on the bottle. I put a 2 inch piece of fuel line on the needle and connected the other end to the bottle. Now it will reach through the gyro chamber to the bottom of the motor. Of course you still have to invert the machine so gravity will help the oil run into the bearing

Im not mistaken. Im sure I know the difference between the motor bearing and the support bearing.

I prefer to use grease on my bearings if they last long enough to need more lubrication.
I'm a greaser. I do have a bottle of the scorpion motor oil though. I used it on my door hinges the other day.

I was wodering which would be better, the HK-4530-500 Scorpion 4530-500 Brushless Motor (6mm Shaft Diameter) Limited Edition or the HK-4530-450 Scorpion (450 KV) 14S Brushless Motor? i wasnt sure which would be better.

Motor selection really depends on how you fly and the head speed you want to fly. If you do not know a target head speed, I would stick with something smaller as a 14S setup is not necessary for any variant of the Rush. For lower head speeds (2035-50, max) and stock gearing a HKIII4035-500 with 6mm shaft. A 6mm shaft is a requirement for pinion fit. If you want higher head speed then something like 4235-520 or 4525 520.

I put a couple drops of oil on all the bearings I can reach, on the swash plate, main and tail shaft about once a month. On my nitro.....exhaust is enough oil.

I had those spacers in my kit too. They drove me crazy for a while trying to figure out what I could of missed.
