Tom, would like to see some pics of the heli, maybe in a new thread or direct me to a thread of pics with it. It looks as though it would be hot looking. Do you have this Chinese weight on this heli? I must read more on this to see what the advantages are, for example is it for beginners or experienced pilots or both, etc. TIA

Those 4 balls and screw on the sides of the blade grip holders are the Chinese weights mod. There is a long thread on it started by Fireup who popularized it and came up with a way to implement it on the Trex. It is called Tail Mod for More Consistent Piros/Backward flight . Check it out. Fireup offers a drill jig, drill and tap to do the modification too. You can find it in that thread.

It would benefit everyone in the since that it takes a big load off the tail servo. It will benefit more aggressive flier by helping make the tail hold during demanding maneuvers.

GreenCello says in this thread that if you use the Greaser to lubricate bearings that it wont fit the smaller 4mm bearings in our Trex. If you remove the idler pulley which has a 4mm bearing in it and use it as an adaptor you can grease the smaller bearings.

Hmm, now where is that idler pulley it is in this box somewhere?

BTW, should you invest in a Greaser, be aware that it works great on bearings down to 5mm in diameter. The 450 has lots of bearings that are 4mm. Found it. Yeah. So, yous guys that don't want to take the idler pulley off don't have a Greaser adapter for the 4mm bearings. See.

I got two. One stock Align and one MX-400 flanged one.

Now, If I just had a Greaser and some grease.

I had a problem of the belt going off the pulley but heard from my fr it's because of too many flights in a nutshel it's gone worn out. Put on a new belt removed the idler pulley now working great up to present flight. Now I would say....if it works great without the pulley why we would keep it? It helps creating a resistance on the belt a little for sure.Loss of energy. So the more free ur belt is the smoother ur machine will work. THIS IS SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND.

I wasn't sure about removing mine but after reading these posts and having my belt climb up and off the pulley I chose to take it off. As a matter fo fact. I took off the screw infront of it also and this seems to be the ticket. I lubed the belt with silicone shock oil from my rc cars and have not had any problems yet. I'm very happy. A simple mod with great results.

Has anyone ever removed their pulley from a copterx 450sev2? It sure looks like the belt will rub on that screw just forward of the pulley.

Yes i did and had the same consernes as you but after a few flights the conserne went away.
There are no thread marks on the white text aeria on the belt but there are rubberresedues on the schrew.
As long as there is no threadmarks from the screw on the belt there is no problem with that close contact.

I just took out my idle pully from my rex and had a few flights today and it flies beautifully. I found that it was at low rpms that my belt kept sticking to the side and giving me problems. It happend to me 3 - 4 times before i got fed up and decided to take the pully out. its defintely something worth while to do when u do get that problem
