Default My computers can't discover my Vbar bluetooth interface

It seems likely that I'm doing something dumb, but I don't know what. My computers can't detect the vbar bluetooth interface at all. Same on both Mac and Windows 7. Both can talk to the vbar via USB, but when I power up the vbar with the BT adapter attached the computers can't see it. I have set the pin via usb, but I can't get far enough to need it.

Is there a step that makes the vbar BT adapter discoverable?

This is a brand new 4-wire BT adapter from Readyheli, attached to a nearly brand-new blue mini-vbar with 5.3.4 firmware.

Thanks,
John

Are you using the bluetooth shortcut to start the software or are you trying to connect BT via the usb interface?

I used the usb connection to set bluetooth pin via the regular Vstabi software (I've done this both from Mac and PC).

I ran the Bluetooth version of the Vstabi software when trying to connect via bluetooth, with the latest version of the vbar bluetooth adapter attached to the mini-vbar.

On both mac and pc I have tried connecting to the BT interface, both from the Vstabi software and from the control panel. My computers can't see the vbar BT interface.

There is probably a step I'm missing. Once a PIN is set, I power cycle the heli - this time with the BT interface plugged into the mini-vbar. Then I try to pair the computer with it - but the computers can't see it. Help?

Thanks
John

Doh - I was indeed doing something dumb. I had the Bluetooth adapter plugged in backwards on the Vbar. When I initially plugged it in, I thought it only went in one way (which was wrong). Once I turned it over, it was discoverable and I was able to connect.

TIA
