Looking good so far.

Trying to do Analysis runs on all my packs to begin populating the battery history on the app.

With all the new features that are coming on, do you think a full manual will be updated? I get the feeling that there are nuances in how the app functions that may be escaping me.

The plan is to be able to set the 4-digit ID to whatever you want. So it will still be limited to 4 hexidecimal digits, but at least you can come up with your own pack numbering scheme ... so for example if i have 6 of the exact same pack, then I would number them 001A thru 001F. If you typically had more than 6 of a certain pack, then maybe use 2 digits for the "type" and 2 digits for the "number" .... so something like 0101 thru 0108.

That number doesn't have to be unique across all of your packs either - it is only for your reference. So the number could just be used to identify the "number" of that specific kind of pack. So, for example, I have a dozen 6S 5000's all simply numbered 0001-0012 and some 3S 2200's numbered 0001-0010.

This approach seems to align pretty well with what alot of guys already do (manually) if they want to track the history of a pack - they write some relatively small/short number on the pack. Minimizing the length (to 2-bytes in this case) avoids wasting valuable BumpTag storage space.

I'll add that Alert bug to the list to be fixed.
Thanks Kelly. That works for me.

I am not really a Android guy, but for just logging the battery data and having it mounted in my charging case I am considering a Android device. But i would like to know what are the minimum hardware specs for the bump app. I am seeing some android tablets on sale for $50 but I am not sure if they meet the minimum hardware requirements and minimum android OS.

It would be great if someone could post the recommended hardware specs for the bump app.
Thanks.

Default ccs for second device

I have the ccs for my android phone, but I now want to add the ccs to my Surface tablet. When I go to the google play store to add it to the tablet it says I have the ccs installed. The drop down box only has my phone in it. How do I add the ccs to my second device?

Off topic question but what is the lead time on repairs? I sent my BC in last week because of the noise filtering issue and asked Mrs Revo the lead time but haven't gotten a reply.
Just want to know if it would be worth it to make a new deck for my other charge case and use its BC in place of the one I sent out.

Disregard the question. Just got the shipping notice. That was fast!
Hopefully the issue is resolved

The CCS app is currently only supported on Android devices, not Windows 10.
Apple iOS and Windows 10 versions of the app will be released around the end of 2016, and those apps will be released in their corresponding app stores (not Google Play).

There are many other discussions on this thread about recommended/tested tablets, so I would review those for more info.

Only real hardware requirement is support for Bluetooth 4.x Low Energy.

Yeah, I'm working on manual updates too, but documentation is time-consuming, so trying to balance critical new features vs docs. As features get more complete, docs will get updated/released at same time as new software.

Some of my batteries are not showing up in the battery history. In fact, I ran an analyze charge on both of my Pulse 5000 12s batteries and it said it was saving after the cycle but it doesn't show up in history.

What do I need to change to see all my batteries in history?

I like the moble app for the info and graphing recorded. Also can the date of each charge be found somewhere?

This is a known bug to be resolved - see the following for a workaround:

Default Backup of battery data?

Hi Kelly.

Just wondering if there is a way to back up the battery data that is copied to the tablet you use with your BUMP? Is there a single database file that can be copied elsewhere?

I'm starting to get quite a few cycles logged and I would hate to lose the trending data on my packs should the tablet that holds it all have a failure.

Any info on how to back it up would be appreciated. Thanks,

KevinB

Next release will have a backup feature - about 2 weeks from now.

Any update on the next release?

Is this feature to be able to back up the app data the same one I saw you mention in another thread that will let you export to a csv? Or is that a separate feature? (ie: does the backup feature only allow data transfer between two devices running the BUMP app?)

Thanks,

KevinB

Default Android CCS 3.28 and Bump Firmware 2.32

Just posted Bump software updates ...

* Android CCS 3.28
* BUGFIX: BumpTag field names and ordering doesn't match Bump Controller
* Bump Firmware 2.32
* BUGFIX: Lowered DBGIR display threshold to 5*ave cell ohms
* BUGFIX: Unbalanced discharge fails with Bump Safety code
* FEATURE: Complete control over PowerLab options
* FEATURE: Enhanced power source setup
* FEATURE: BumpTag setup data for new Revo GoPacks

IMPORTANT: As of this release, the Bump now takes complete control of the PowerLab settings, including power supply profiles, so you'll be prompted to setup power supply profiles and select the supply used by each charger port.

Under "Supply Options" you can now configure 4 independent power supply profiles and then go to "Port x Options" to select the power source used for that charger (Tip: use ApplyAll instead of Apply to apply the changes to all chargers rather than only the selected port).

In the future, the Bump will automatically adjust charger output on-the-fly to prevent overloading a supply which is shared by multiple chargers.

Thanks for all the hard work Kelly. The Bump just keeps getting better and better. Can't wait till the W10 update comes out.
