Default Bump Tag corruption on initial write

What can cause new bump tags to be bad ?

I already have around 30 lipo with bump tags. .. never had issues writing / reading tags

Last night I was trying to write a new tag for a new Lipo ...and could not complete the burning process

The controller recognized the new tag... but could never complete the process

I've destroyed around 25 tags last night trying again and again to burn a tag

Once the process failed. .. the tag became corrupted

Anyone experienced similar issues or can provide guidance ?

No, haven't seen anything even remotely similar.

You said you destroyed 25 tags ... could you go into a little more detail about the exact steps you took ?

For example, at the end of the new BumpTag setup, did you bump a new tag and when that failed, just kept bumping 24 more with same result ?
... or did you cancel out of the setup and try again ?
... was the Bump Controller ever reset between retries ?
Were you finally able to get the tag to write, or give up ?

At the end of the new bump tag setup when you have to finalize the process by bumping the tag ... I got "bump again to retry" (see 1st picture)..once u get that message the tag is pretty much fried .. as when I tried to restart the entire process with the same tag I get invalid tag message (pic 2)

The strange thing is that if I start the process with a new tag .. the controller recognize a new tag ... but the it corrupt it when finalizing the process.

I was thinking maybe I had a few bad tags .. so I tried again and again. .until I was out of tag ... in rétrospective I should have stopped instead of burning all my tags .. oh well

I tried to burn a few tag via NFC on my android phone with the Revo app ... it was not working ... that leads me to think it was a tag issue versus a controller issue

Hope this clarify

Thanks. Anxious to hear how it works. It sure sounds like faulty tags, but keep us posted. And if they were faulty tags, contact Revo for warranty replacment - no reason you should eat the $30 for defective tags.

RevoKelly saved the day

The problem was due to electric interferences ...she told me to put aluminum tape on the back of the controller. .. problem resolved

Thanks Kelly from Bumpcharger.com ... you make a great product and your customer support is amazing
