Default Have to replace Android tablet can/and how to move history

I have 2 PL6 chargers with the Bump controller and bluetooth to a cheap Android tablet...and I mean cheap!! anyway this android frisbee needs to be tossed and a new one put in its place. I have purchased a Samsung tablet and now the question is how to get all the history over to the new tablet. Is this possible yet? I don't want to loose all this information on my 50+ different packs. Thanks for the help.

If you can hold off a couple weeks, I have a really simple solution - the new Android app will be released and it will include history sync to DropBox. So you'll be able to just perform a sync to DropBox on old tablet, then again on new tablet and everything will be on both tablets, as well as the DropBox cloud file store.

Kelly, will syncing support merging data from two devices?
Apologies, don't mean to derail.

Thanks Kelly I will look forward to this and wait. How many "charge cycle " histories can the Bump controller hold approx before needing to download>

Depends on length of the operation, but roughly 100.

Yes, from multiple Bump Controllers and across multiple mobile devices, even when different types - Apple, Android, and later Windows10.

Still working thru build/integration problems with Windows10, so difficult to estimate. Once those problems are solved, probably only a couple weeks to beta, and couple more for public release. Best guess is late July at this point. Ill post updates here as we make progress.

Hate to push Kelly but is there any update on timing of the Android app release with Dropbox integration?

Sorry for the delay - ran into problems with Android 4.x and still testing workarounds.

At least for now, Android 5.0 or later will likely be required in order to get the new version of the app.

Hope to release by end of next week if all goes well with testing.

Thanks Kelly!!

So if the old tablet is version 4, we will need to upgrade to version 5 if possible to get the data to dropbox.

Yes. We might be able to support 4 in the future, but i dont want to delay it further - looks like only 5% of devices are 4.x at this point.

FYI - Version 4.04 for Android released to public today.
Let me know if you have any problems.

NOTE: Version 4.x is only supported on Android 5.0 and later. Older devices will only be able to access the existing version 3.50.

Hi Kelly, First of all thank you for the release and all the work you do on this.
I was able to download the updates on both tablets, the old one was 5.x and the new 6.x. Both downloads went smooth, upload went smooth to dropbox from the old one and download went smooth to the new one.

I then updated the firmware from the new tablet to the BUMP and that went well.

Only issue I have is that the BUMP is not uploading to the tablet?? I have history turned on but cannot get the old graphic across the screen that says uploading nor is there a manual way to start. Haven't done this often so a little green...did I miss something. Thanks for your help.

There is now a per-Device setting within the CCS app to pick which Devices (i.e., Bump Controllers) you want to upload history from. This setting is off by default, so go into Devices -> Settings and make sure history upload is enabled.
