Horizon service
What's up guys. So I sent away my receiver and ESC to verify they are still operational after a hard and intense crash. Finished my rebuild and was unsatisfied with the performance of the helicopter so horizon told me to send those two things in. They are charging me $31 just to tell me that they work. Does that sound appropriate? First time having this done. Your thoughts?

I would have to say this sounds quite normal. Strictly speaaking the goods haven't been returned for testing under warranty as the cause for concern was crash damage. Even if the goods were returned as suspected failure under normal conditions, if they turned out to be OK after testing you would still be liable to pay a service charge. This is standard practice in most industries.
Basically you are paying for a service.
