Default Gonna give up this FBL

Bought it few months, never flew happy and can never setup the governor, everything I read has already done, 50% spool up read 2253hz, setup throttle according to it, fly , on the mid air, RPM drop to a non-flyable RPM, almost crash, never gonna use it again if can't use governor, don't know others happy with it wad how to get happy

Mine is working fine.

But because of the not existing manual / support, I beliefe that many (possible) users regret or don't buy it at all. Good hard / software simply isn't enough...

Can't agree more, and I really don't like as I have to make the spool up then use kind of equation to calculate the head speed, why don't just enter the pole number and input you HS, I think it's easier to look for how many poles your motor are then to calculate you HS

Hm... I like the gov because its really a gov-store. You can adjust your HS between 50 and 90% via TX.

When you type in a fixed Head-RPM, you can't adjust...

I know, but I can't ever make it right, I really want to use its governor so do all my other FBLs, I follow the instructions , turn all governor off , set correct end point, then reset the gov store value in the software, with blades on, I spool up at 50% 0 pitch, get the number 2253 for my oxy 3, as per the formula, I set my throttle like 75 79 83, turn governor back on, go and fly, for the initial spool up, it sounds normal, then I put the little beast to the air, at about 5m height, the rpm drops to sounds like under 2000rpm, and it was a non flying RPM for the OXY, then I push the stick up to drop as low as I can, no damage, what am I missing?

I always check for new version, and it's always 1.0.21, gov was active since the green light was blinking rapidly

I've given up on mine to. I'm pretty sure the throttle output channel on mine is faulty. I might keep it for a plane, but I'll never risk it on another heli. Its a shame because it did fly beautifully when it wasn't playing up.

I could probably mix the throttle to a spare channel and run the esc from the RX instead of the neuron. I think the last few channels on my receivers still work like normal when cppm is active on CH1. I don't think I could be bothered trying though.

No need to mix anything, you can simply plug in the esc in the rx throttle channel and disable the neuron governor

The minima receiver doesn't have a throttle output channel when cppm mode is active.

Yes, that's what I did now, disable the GOV in neuron, and use the HW GOV instead but it's not what I wanted, I use FBL gov on all my helis and all were great but neuron, It flies great though but I can't benefit from it's GOV

Its been months now, and after getting nothing but a couple of emails asking what firmware I had, I posted mine back to france. I didn't want it in the house anymore, tempting me to risk another heli.

Ironically, I bought a KBar to confirm the gyro was the cause of my issues. Turns out Kbars are great and now I have 3 of them. No need for service if one plays up (which they haven't), they're cheap enough to throw away.

I can't agree more, as new firmware didn't out for ages, and lack of support in the forum, I swipe to the iKon again and it flies great, really don't want the neuron anymore, and the only one I had, I regret I'd bought it

Fortunately, it had a recycle usage, I'd de-case it and put it into the 180CFX, a micro heli which wasn't need the govenor
