"Hi Shane

Can you send me your address so that I can send you some replacement trays please. We will ship 2 x H0846-S for you to resolve the issue.

Thank you for raising this with us. There should be no need for you to trim the replacements and there should be no requirements for this in the future.

Thank you for being a valued SAB Goblin customer.

Kind Regards

SAB Heli Division"

I asked what the issue/fix was the rep (she's not On the tech side) responded that she believes that it was a production error that has been fixed.

I'm with you there. I'm running the KDE on my big SAB.

I am curious how much weight savings the new SAB tray has to offer.

Doom buggy like you said before I think you need a new carbon tab not new trays.

Is it possible to install the new trays in a 630 Comp frame without modifications? Do I understand correctly that you have to use the upper position in the frame for the underlying of the tray? Any pics?

Yup.
Did email and ask why the hell they sent me the same trays I had a issue with though- makes zero sense. Oh well.

What did I tell you ? When are you going to listen to me. You already discovered the root problem the carbon tab you have is drilled a little too generously on the right side the hole locations making the red plate a little short. If you trim all your red plates then a future quick release install will result in the plates being too short and the tray will rock back and forth that small amount. Or make a new carbon tab and drill it correctly. Yes MAKE. Get a piece of carbon from a part you're not using or crashed and dremel and drill it correctly. It's called modelling I do it all the time it's quite fun. And it's not manufacturer dependent.

As I'm quite tired of your constant attacks Jsbach- I'm closing this thread.

I shall reiterate that I have zero issue with modeling- I brought this to the community first to see if I personally did something wrong or got an incorrect part/incomplete part from the manufacturer.

I then brought it to the manufacturers attention, and told the community I would post back when I heard from said manufacturer. This was done to:
A- Confirm what snemi said (which still sounds like an on the fly excuse)
B- Make sure that they knew they had an issue with a part that they had already redesigned.
If I were SAB, and this was not "normal manufacturing variance"- I would want to know...at the very least the possible need to trim the tray could be added to the assembly instructions......

Your acidic words and attitude are neither welcome, nor helpful.
