Default Steady state tail error.

looking for some info on how to get the tail to hold better. Flying in the wind the tail blows to the side and stays there. If I take the overall gain higher the tail starts to wag like crazy. Trying to figure if there is an I gain for the tail or do I drop the p gain down and raise the overall gain?

Any more info about what esc and therefore possibly governor you use? Also what heli or at leadt heli size?

Without any information I would guess that your rpm might drop a bit to much which could easy cause tail kicking out. The combination of electronics and machine is important.

I have it happening on an align 470lm and a 450se. Neither one is running a gov. With the gov on just in a hover it was pulsing to much and causing a fast wag so I took the gov off. In a hover it sits fine with no wind. If the wind hits it from the side it blows the tail over and it doesn't come back until the wind dies down. It's also noticeable in forward flight across the field. I'm using an aurora 9x transmitter and stock align servos in the 470 with the align esc. The 450 has the same radio with hitec servos and the align esc. I'll be at the spring fling this weekend so I'm going to look for esc to replace both of them probably with a hobbywing.

Is the Align ESC not a rebranded HW?

I thought I've heard others say that then some say align is making their own esc. Going with the performance I'd say it is an align esc and not just a rewrapped one. I dot have a hobbywing 50amp v3 on a 450 pro and that one does great.
