Nice machine! What main shaft is that - it seems longer than stock, as it should.

Cool! Where do you get them? The problem is that step down to 9mm diameter for the OWB.

Default My First Scale Sport - The First Day of Flights

Many thanks to all the members of HeliFreak. The information which I have received from this forum over the years has been invaluable. I'm also very grateful for the help and tremendous assistance that John Salt at RC Helicopters - A Very Fun & Rewarding Hobby extended to me during the build process on my Phoenix 600ESP and Funkey Hughes 500D. What a great resource and person to work with........

Man was I nervous when the ship first lifted off her skids during her first maiden. I went through the set up on the BeastX a dozen times before I had the confidence to fly the bird for the first time. Well, it turned out better than I had expected. She fly rock solid, hands off and no apparent vibrations.

My video is a bit long and shows many of the flights that first day including evening flights with the nav. lights. I didn't want to fly too large of any pattern or circuit flights so I kept her somewhat close in.

I hope my video is not boring to you but I just wanted to show off how proud I am of my first sport scale heli and the first day of flights.

Default Turbine rc UH-1 Huey versus the real thing

Two different type of helicopter pilots, one flies full scale and the other flies turbine RC. They both own and love the HUEY helicopter. See this iconic bird in a different light.

PS: You guys are going to love this one. Feel free to share the love

Night flying is truly beautiful, I ought to do that more often. Thanks for the inspiration.
