Default average flight time and tanks per gallon?

Just wondering what your guys experience has been with flight times and how many tanks of fuel you can get out of a gallon.

I haven't run a nitro anything in 12 some years, I'm thinking of giving a nitro Trex 700 a shot.

About 8 minutes with around 0.5 inch left in the bottom after each flight. You can fill about 6 empty tanks with a gallon. With the fuel left in the tank, I get around 7 flights per gallon.

Total time per gallon = 52 minutes
At $26 per gallon = .50 cents per minute!

Next stupid noobie question, 15 or 30 percent fuel? I'm intrigued by this orange "slime" and may soon own a nitro.

I have just been running 15% on mine due to the LHS were out of 30%. After some minor re-tuning, i am positively surprised how little difference there is, but the 15% is more prone to cause bogging. You need to watch you`re stick movements

Last time on the field I finally used a timer to check flight times. For normal forward flight (loops, stall turns, push overs, cuban eights etc) 1850 on the head gives plenty of lift and ample power as the YS engine seems to have a lot of torque. I got 10 minutes per tank. Engine MAX temperatures were 48 from the bottom and 80 from the head (27 degrees out).

I used to have a 600N but that heli had to have well over 2000 rpm on the head to feel powerful enough. With that one I got a bit over 8 minutes per tank because the engine was running high rpm. Difference in total flight time is only 4-8 minutes per gallon in my current flight.

But if you want to fly harder with a .90...

i get 7 minutes to a tank. I like to leave a little extra reserve incase i have a really good flight or i pull a no brainer and do a dozen tic tocs on the last minute of fuel.
I don't care what anybody says even a fuel magnet will go dry if you do that,
about 7 to 8 refills per gallon, It's well worth the 20 to 30 percent in added fuel cost over a 600 nitro.since i got my pair of t700n's my 2 600n's hardley get any flying.

I had only 6 minutes at 1900rpm (YS91SR) without header tank landed with 1/8 of fuel left in tank.
