Getting ready for the Stingray SRS event at Austin.

Got the Stingray Clear Canopy with graphics from here:
http://curtisyoungbloodhobbies.curti...4030-10137.htm

Just finished the paint job a couple weeks ago, pearl white (metal flake) with neon yellow. Also added a neon yellow Gorilla Landing Gear.

Here's the wiring:

Are the landing skids from a Protos Mini ?

The landing gear is a modified Gorilla Landing gear skid for a T-Rex 450. Just cut the skid in half and trim the size of the skid to your liking. You will also need a little bit of filing and hole drilling to match where they attach to the Stingray....

I really dig that color scheme. It looks so much better without all those weird tattoos all over it. The FPV installation looks nice and clean too.

I'm putting it on my wish list to get one of the clear canopies the next time I'm ordering parts.

Thanks, Christopher.... Yep, get a clear canopy and have a ball.

The black box is a 3D robotics GPS/Compass unit. I'm planning on using the GPS setup along with the return to home function when CY releases this new option.

It should help give me more confidence when flying FPV if I should get confused or the video should quit.

I'm really looking forward to using this upgrade!

Here are a few more pictures of a clear canopy I painted while at the Stingray Racing Series in Austin.

I added red LED lights to the back and bottom of the rear booms. Works great for orientation and night flying. I have white LED lights up front in the scoop and up front.
