This upgrades have an excellent construction and deserve the right to having the manufacturing company logo at any size and to any spot on them.
This is only my personal opinion

That is a very nice piece of machine work to add to the collection!! However, I am also really interrested in the main bearing blocks. Out of curiosity, what was the need for the red spacer between the lock collar and the bearing? Also, what bearings are you running?

Nice work!!

Thanks, James

The main bearing blocks are almost available and I'm waiting for the bearings from the manufacturer. Funny enough, that's not a red-spacer between the lock collar and the bearing - instead, that is red synthetic bearing grease that is pressed out of the radial bearing after a flight. I always grease my bearings myself using "The Greaser" to get long life out of the components, and that red-ring is just the excess grease pressing through the shields. I'll have more details of the final design (bearing sizes, etc.) when I announce the release, hopefully in the next week or so.

Just picked up one of the Antirotation brackets.
I think the KDE branding looks fine on it.

Any pictures? I enjoy seeing the designs on pilot's helicopters and the uniqueness of everyone's setups.

Mine showed up today.
Nice piece. The KDE branding is not nearly as obtrusive as they appear in the other pics.

Yes, but he still needs the Tangerine Gear upgrade to match his skids.

I was feeling saucy this morning and bought the aluminum anti-rotation bracket and all the rest of your aluminum parts for my 500.

I agree branding needs to be a little more discrete and in a less obvious place. Other than that it looks great.

Finless just made a great review video of the full TREX 500 XKit, which contains all the KDE Direct upgrades including the Anti-Rotation Bracket Upgrade. Check it out at:

Thread: https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=141298

Direct: http://video.helifreak.com/?subpath=...ame=kde500.wmv

The series reviews his build of the TREX 500 Nitro and more exciting videos are to come in the near future.

I hope I'm not being blasphemous here, but if the branding really bothers anyone, I guess you could always Dremel it off, or, as an alternative to that, fill it in with JBWeld or something similar (maybe solder?) and then polish it up. I don't know.....just thinking out loud here.....

I dont even notice the branding with the part on my heli. Its much more evident in pictures than when you're actually looking at the heli in person.

Default KDE Anti Rotation Bracket Fit - Problem.

I just recently picked up one of the KDE anti-rotation brackets for my 500. The product looks really nice and really high quality, but I have an issue with how mine fits on my 500.

Basically, once everything is installed, you can easily move top of the bracket forwards and backwards at the top in either direction. It seems that the threaded holes are too low on my bracket so it sits higher in the frame and there is a gap underneath it. IE - it doesn't rest snugly on the CF frame sides.

I'm not sure if Align have slightly changed their parts or the new bracket is 'faulty'. Mine is the very latest 500 ESP 3G kit which I only built a week or two ago.

The standard Trex plastic bracket fits fine.

Has anyone else seen this?
